Charcoal Dining

It's October already. On a rainy evening we met in a litte restaurant, tucked away in Bree Street. A little gem called Charcoal...

The starters (especially the ceviche) was excellent, the mains were good...and the desserts amazing. And as always, so good to share beautiful moments with beautiful friends.

La Mouette No.1

After 2 tries to get the Goddesses to my neighbourhood, Caren finally succeeded: La Mouette was our November 2014 restaurant of choice. And what a beautiful evening it turned out to be.....

We had a lot to celebrate: Promotions, exotic travel destinations, lovers and (a) husband ;) It is like homecoming, when you have such special women sharing the same heart space.

La Mouette

Just saying the name makes giddy :) Four female friends finally made it to this famous Sea Point Seagull (translated from French). We loved every minute. From the setting - reportedly the house used to be the mayor of Cape Town's residence, to every beautiful morsel we tasted.

Cheers!

We settled on the tasting menu (with wine pairing) which was an absolute adventure! Every one of the 7 courses had us in rapture, and as every course had a glass of wine...
3 hours and 7 glasses of wine later - on top of the Miss Molly welcome bubbles, we were ready to roll down the stairs. I vaguely remember Merle missing the second dessert due to a "Take-me-home" scheduled pick-up. But the rest of us took up the challenge to finish this it on a high.
